Welcome to Iowa!

Okay everyone! We made it to Iowa. For all those who were not aware... we have decided to move to Iowa for Jon to attend The University of Iowa College of Law. We have been here about 3 weeks and we are really loving it. We have had multiple opportunities to strengthen our faith and to learn more about how the world works. Brad has been doing great adjusting to all the changes. He loves his new room and our new home is beautiful. He is also enjoying playing with all the other kids in our apartment complex. We are very excited for Jon to start school in the next couple weeks and we are striving to prepare for that as I am looking for a small part-time job to hopefully decrease some stress. We are excited to see what life holds for us and what the Lord has planned for our little family.
We have enjoyed making a couple of trips to Nauvoo, which is just a few hours away. We were able to see the Nauvoo pagent, which was amazing, and Brad had a great time running around in the beautiful Historic City of Nauvoo. I was also able to see the Mississippi River for the first time. It is hard for my mind to grasp that it is actually a river and not a lake. Wow... so fun!
Here is a happy family picture in front of the Mississippi River......and, this is the Nauvoo Temple. It is so magnificent when seen in real life. The spirit of Nauvoo is so strong. I have learned so much about the faith and sacrifice of the pioneers. They were so obedient and willing to give up all they had for the gospel of Jesus Christ which they knew to be true.
I know this is our first posting in a long time, but I am excited to have more time to post and I hope to stay on top of it to share our story of life in Iowa with all of those who are interested. We would also like to mention and give thanks to our wonderful and supportive family and friends. We love you all so much and we are so grateful for the strength and faith you have shared with us to make this move possible. Thank you! We love you!
(More pictures and stories about life in Iowa are soon to come. Stay posted!)

Mindy! You posted! I am so happy, smile. I love that you've gotten to see Nauvoo. I think my mom would move in to the Kimball Home if she could - not that I blame her. I'm rather jealous of all the cool Church History Sites that you'll get to live by. Oh! And I heard about the fireflies. My kids have yet to see those. Bradley is soooo lucky!

Minday, we're so proud of you and Jon. You two are going to rock this thing! Congrats. Congrats. We love you guys so much. So learn fast so you can move closer than Provo someday!

Yea! I was so excited to see you posted. I was wondering how your move was. I'm glad that you're liking it! We'll be driving through Iowa soon as we drive out to Boston. We're spending Sunday night in Coralville, Iowa. I love Nauvoo! I'm glad you got to go!
Love you lots!
