Outting to the children's museum

Brad, Emily, and Mom all went to the Iowa Children's Museum to get out of the house. It is located in the mall and is therefore a great trip for everyone. I can pick up a couple of things at the mall and then we can all have a great time playing at the museum for a while. Today we were there for about 2 hours, and Brad did a great job. Emily slept for 1 hour in her travel system and then woke up ready to play. Our children's museum is amazing. I love it. Whoever though of such a cool idea is genious. (Do you understand how cool I think this place is?) Anyway, we played in many different room with different themes, and everyone had a blast!
One of the rooms is the City Grocery... there are little shopping carts and tons of pretend food on the shelves for kids to shop for. Today, Brad filled three carts and then brought them to the register to check out. He loves feeling like a big kid.
The "Take Flight" room is so cool! There are little airplanes that the kids can get in and pretend to fly. The planes have pedals that make the front twist around!

The "Movement" room includes tracks, trains, and golf balls that you can roll down tracks to watch the speed. As Brad played with the trains, Emily checked out the golf balls. Very facinating room!
We had a great day together... and we were all ready for a nap when we got home!

When I come and visit can we go here? I think that shopping for fake food looks like more fun then shopping for real food. Where was this when I was a kid? You guys do the funnest things!
