"HOW ARE YOU DOING?"

So, my Bradley is growing up so fast and he is so much fun. He talks really well and is able to understand so much in conversation. The other day, Brad, Emily, and I were all out running errands. Most of the time when I am in the car with the kids, I try to talk with them a little to feel that we are spending some time communicating together. Well, sometimes I don't know what to talk about with a 3 year old, so to try and get the conversation started I ask... "How are you doing?" Obviously, I ask this question a lot, because this is how our conversation continued on this particular day...

Mom: How are you doing?
Brad: (no response)
Mom: How are you doing, Brad?
Brad: I don't like it when you say that Mom.
Mom: You don't like it when I say what?
Brad: When you say... How are you doing? How are you doing? How are you doing?
Mom: (smiles) Ohh, what would you like me to say?
Brad: Just... "How are you doing?" and then I say "good", and then we're done! (very serious and to the point)
Mom: (smiles & laughing) I think I could do that. I love you Bud!

I love my Bradley! He makes me smile and is such a joy to be around. Thanks for helping me smile and laugh and enjoy these moments with you Bradley Tillman!
