Fire pit

We had a tremendous Family Home Evening last night. We have been talking for a while that we would like a charcoal grill to use not only as a grill, but a little fire pit on our back porch. Well, yesterday we got one and set it up. For Family Home Evening, we started up the charcoal and cooked marshmallows to eat s'mores. It was perfect. I love being outside, especially when it is not a ton of work to do it. It was great to have our fire pit right outside our kitchen door and have everything ready to eat s'mores. Brad loved being around the fire pit and even more, he loved cooking and eating marshmallows. Emily loves being outside also and gobbled down some gram crackers. Jon had the lesson and he talked about the power of Prayer and praying to our Father in Heaven. That Heavenly Father really does answer our prayers and He does it personally and in the exact way we need when we need it. After the lesson, we sang "I am a Child of God" around the fire pit. It was a beautiful night to enjoy being outside in the beautiful world Heavenly Father created for each of us.
I am so grateful for my family. We had a wonderful night together... spending time around our fire pit, talking, and eating our treat. The weather was a little chilly, but the fire made it perfect. I couldn't help but feel so much love for my husband and my children and all that our Heavenly Father has blessed us with. I am excited to build more memories with our family outside by our new "fire pit"!
