As Brad was just playing on the livingroom floor with his toys, he just started asking me questions. The conversation that followed totally made me laugh. It also made me wonder what other amazing things are going on in this boys young little mind.
Brad: Mom, what's migration?
Mom: Migration? (somewhat shocked) That's quite a big word for you!
Brad: Yes, what's migration?
Mom: Migration is when animals move to a new place. Like birds, travel from a cold place to a warmer place during the winter. You know how it gets so cold in Iowa, then some birds will fly all the way to florida for the winter and then come back again when Iowa is warm again.
Brad: But, what's MY-gration?
Mom: (laughing) YOUR-gration?
Brad: Yes, what's MY-gration?
Mom: Oh, it doesn't work like that. The word is called "migration". That's the whole word. "migration".
Brad: But, what's MY-gration?
Mom: (Since I have no idea what he is asking...I turn it back to him) What do you think it is?
Brad: When polar bears fight with panda bears, and black bears fight with brown bears.
Mom: (I THINK I am finally understanding what he is saying) Oh, migration is when birds move from a cold place to a warm place, but hibernation is when bears sleep all winter long in their cave.
Brad: Humm... so what's MY-hibernation?
Who knows...! Haha!
I love you buddy! You are so smart and make me smile! Thanks for always asking so many questions and giving me a small glimpse into your wonderful world!
