The first day of school. I mean... LAW SCHOOL!

Horray! It is actually here. Today was the first day of Law School for Jon. He began orientation today and started his new school schedule. He walked out of the house around 8am today and caught the bus. We were all really happy for him, but sad to see him go. It has been quite a party for the past month for all of us to be home and enjoying ourselves. Jon came home from school today about 6pm. Wow, what a long day, and he did GREAT!! Off to school! Look at that law student! Way to go babe!
Brad and I had a fun day also. I was trying to think of a couple of activities to do during the day to spend some time with him. Of course we took a trip to the store, (a new one called Hobby Lobby, which is like Michaels or Roberts, but like twice as big. Very cool!) which usually takes about 1 hour or so and I really enjoy walking around looking at stuff and talking about it with him. We also spend much time outside, trying to stay AWAY from the mud, we were not always successful, but it was fun. Our indoor activity, besides playtime, was water painting. As you can see in the pictures, Brad had a great time... even if he didn't quite understand the whole idea. It was pretty simple for me. Construction paper, water, a paint brush, and this creative mind is at work...
"Hum... let's think, what should I paint..." "Oh yeah! I got it... okay, now dip the brush in the water..."
" ... and paint on the paper... "
"... and then drink the water... All in a days work!"
Brad is such a delight. He makes me laugh all day long. When he drank the water, I started laughing and then after that, he forgot all about painting and just kept wanting to drink because he thought it was funny. He is so smart.
Overall, we all had a fun day to talk about over dinner and we are excited for yet another day of Law School tomorrow... (I mean, an entire 3 years of Law School. Horray!)

Exclamation marks and hoorays? You obviously haven't gotten past orientation yet :) I'm finally saying hooray now because Richie's about to start his third year. There were definitely no exclamation marks during 1 and 2.

Yay for Jon! Chris had his first day of work yesterday and I was sad/happy to see him go. Unfortunately there is no Hobby Lobby here to entertain me here. I love that store and I hate the lack of craft stores here. You're so cute to come up with fun things to do! Do you have a job yet with the hospital?

The First Day of School pictures are HILARIOUS! Jon, you're such a big boy - riding the bus all by yourself!

Dang that Bradley is so sweet. There is so much of him that reminds me of little Jon. One of my favorite memories (I might have said this before - sorry!) was living in Pleasant View and we would watch TV laying on the floor with Jon snuggled up on top of my arm by my side. He was such a snuggle guy. My boys are now, and I just love it!...knowing my personality, I hope I didn't force him to do it. Poor guy.
