Go Iowa Hawkeyes!

As a family, we went to the Iowa Football Spring Practice/Scrimmage. This was our first time being in Kinnick Stadium on the University of Iowa campus. It was a blast. The game was FREE with donations of canned food, which was wonderful for us so we could bring Brad. Bradley was slightly overwhelmed at first, but once we got to our seats and we could see the football players, he seemed to really be mesmerized. Brad even wore his Iowa Hawkeye hat the whole time, and was a pro in spotting other people with a "Hawkeye" on their clothing. Now here are a few pictures of Brad growing up and enjoying life. I post these ones so I can tell myself... "Look, your son has a great childhood, you are are great mom... keep it up." (you know... a little pep talk). Ice Cream cones... this was Brad's first time with his very own ice cream cone, and he loved every second of it. Wow, isnt being a kid great!
Brad loves playing with cars. He is totally boy! He thought it was so funny that he could play with his cars on the chair while he stood under the table. He kept telling me... "Bradley under table with cars." And then he would smile like it was the coolest idea ever. He sure makes me laugh!
This picture celebrates the joy of READING a good book. This book is all about animals and making animal noises. Obviously we have read it quite a few times. I walked in the livingroom to a quiet child (of course I was thinking, "what is he into that would cause such little noise?") and he was reading this book to himself. As he would turn the pages, he would quietly say the animal noise. It was beautiful.
I am so grateful for such a wonderful husband and son who bring so much joy to my life. It is wonderful to be a mom! I love it... not to say it is always easy, but it is totally worth it.
