Our SPRING Family!

Horray, It is Spring!! We are so excited here in Iowa that Spring is finally here! March was a great month! and the beginning of April has also been something to celebrate with Easter being #1, of course! *Mindy turned 25 years old! (on March 2nd. Wow! Happy Birthday to me! Brad was thrilled that I was having a birthday because he had realized, since his birthday, that we get cake on someone's birthday. I was so excited to have my favorite... German Chocolate Cake with homemade frosting... it was worth every bite! And no... I did not eat the whole thing... just most of it! I mean, I am a quarter of a century old! Yummy!) *All the snow melted! (I was pretty excited to realize that I was born in the wonderful month in Iowa when Spring appears and the snow melts!) *The temperature is now consistently in the 50-60s, which is wonderful, and there were a few days this past week that we got up to 81 degrees. For two days in a row, all the neighborhood kids put on swimsuits and we had a pool party outside. It was pretty weird since it was April 1st. (What an April Fools Day!) *We visited Kansas City and Liberty, MO to see family. (Jon's parents were house hunting, since they will be moving there this summer, and Mindy's dad had a dairy meeting downtown.) We were there for 4 wonderful days and it was great to see our parents. (Mom... we missed you terribly... see you in 2 months when the baby comes!) On our way down to Missouri, we stopped at some church sites including Adam-ondi-Ahman, and Far West. It was a wonderful, uplifting, and spiritual experience to feel the spirit of the Lord at these sacred places know in church history. Once we arrived in Liberty, MO, we traveled around to see more of the town of Liberty. Jon went to High School there, so he had a lot of fun memories to share. We stopped by to see the sidewalk that he completed for his Eagle Scout Project about 9 years ago. The sidewalk looked great and it was fun to see it in person. The ride to Liberty... these are Brad's "cool dude" glasses, as they are affectionately called in our house. He just loves them. *Brad got a new tricycle! (I found this bike on craigslist.org for $10. It was quite a deal and we feel so very blessed since Brad has been riding it every day!) *We had a marvelous Easter weekend with Brad having his first Easter Egg Hunt and also watching General Conference for church. Listening to the Prophet is the perfect way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Here we are on the hunt! He turned around to say a quick "CHEESE"! Now he has found his eggs and discovered that there is candy inside... the smile of a content and chocolate filled 2 year old getting ready to open yet another egg!

*And... our baby girl is growing and moving and I am now 32 weeks along! Here are a couple of pregnancy pictures from a couple weeks ago for you all to enjoy! 26 1/2 weeks pregnant! 28 1/2 weeks pregnant!

Look at you cute girl!!! I miss you too! I wish you weren't so stinkin' far away. I'm so glad you are enjoying the new Spring weather. Utah is toying with my emotions right now...it's warm, it's snowing, it's warm, it's snowing. Kill me now! I can't wait for the warmer weather. I can't believe you are 32 weeks pregnant...where did the time go?! I guess I do have a 6 month old now. Wish you could meet her for yourself--I just adore her. ;) Maybe someday, right? Give me a call one of these days and we'll chat and catch up!! Or I'll call you. Love ya tons!!!!!!
