A whole New Year - 2010

We had a marvelous New Year's celebration! I thought this picture was a great way to start out the 2010 year. It reflects:

  • SNOW - to help us remember how freezing cold Iowa is during the winter, but also how it will always get warmer
  • BYU - so we can cheer for BYU to do well this year (and remember where our family started... we love BYU!)
  • BRADLEY - our growing son who will grow an entire year in 2010
  • COATS - always dress in the Armor of Rightousness and be protected during challenges and temptations
  • LIGHT SABER - we will work hard and fight through school and succeed during 2010
  • GRASS and the PLOWED FIEILD - continued growth, as we are expecting our second child in 2010
  • FARM (in the distance) - work hard and play hard, enjoy a balanced life
  • BEAUTIFUL SKY - look at the big picture and the eternal perspective
  • LONE TREE - sometimes when we choose the right, it feels as though we are standing alone, but Christ is always near
  • SMILES - remember to smile in the good and hard times ahead, and enjoy, not just endure to the end
  • CUTE FACES - always keep our eyes focused on the gospel of Jesus Christ

Wow, who knew that one picture could SAY so much.... well, you know, a picture is worth 1000 words. Here we are welcoming in 2010!!
