She is here... and she is beautiful!

Our baby girl is finally here! We are so excited to share our wonderful experience with everyone!
Welcoming our newest family addition:
Emily Ruth Scott
Here are some details of our beautiful princess...
*Born May 10, 2010 at 3:25 pm
*Weight: 6 lbs. 11 oz.
*Length: 18 inches
The pictures tell all, but I will share some of our experience along with them...
Let's start out with a final pregnancy picture on the day before the induction @ 37 weeks!
Here I am waiting at the bus stop. Of course Jon is taking the picture and was with me the whole time (and he carried the bag). We decided to take the bus since it is only about 3 min. down the road to the hospital from our house. By the university, all parking is paid parking, and why pay? So, our journey began. I was in labor for 6 hours. After my water was broken by the doctor, I dilated very quickly from 3 cm to 10 cm in 2 hours. My contractions were very strong, but my nurse was wonderful and so helpful to get me in the tub to help me relax since I didn't have an epidural. Jon was wonderful... so extremely supportive and he totally focused on me and my needs the entire 6 hours. It was great! Well, our baby girl was born at 3:25 pm and she came out screaming and strong. She is just perfect! Here she is! So beautiful! Mommy and my girl! I felt great after delivery! I was totally energized and filled with adrenaline for about 3 hours. It was wonderful! Our sweet girl did great after she was born. Dad loved the snuggle and cuddle time with his little girl. She was so peaceful and sleeping! This was about 12 hours after delivery. She is so strong and was holding up her head and opening her eyes. She is such a charmer and has such beautiful eyes. I just love looking at her! Today she had her first bath. It was so fun to see her dark hair and get all clean! FAMILY TIME: Bradley also came to visit at the hospital today! He was so excited to see baby sister and just jumped up on the bed to cuddle with mom and hold his little sister. These next two pictures are definitely my new favorites! I love being a mom! Brad got a "BIG BROTHER KIT" once he got to the hospital. It had a new toy... army men and jets. He was in heaven playing with Dad. We have had a wonderful first 24 hours with our little angel. We are so happy to have her here safe and to be together as a family. We are so grateful to all those who have supported us and prayed for our family and our little girl.

"Wow, she is so pretty!" is what Beth said. Connor just kept smiling. I love the one of her keeping her head up. She has a lot of facial similarities to Bradley, doesn't she? I think it's the mouth. So beautiful! I'm a tad jealous with how good you look after labor, I have to admit - that, and that you have the courage to even take a picture. I have a lot to learn from you!

Go Jon! Go Mindy! Can't wait to hear the name. (If you can't agree on one, when Jon is home with Brad would be the perfect time for you, Mindy, to "help fill out" the birth certificate. Wink, just a thought.)

(And that was me that deleted a comment. Sorry! I spelled a bunch of words wrong!)
